[[ポリゴン]]と異なり[[GPU]]での高速処理はあまり期待できないため、最終的な高品質の描画は[[クラウド]]上の[[レンダーファーム]]で行うという手法が主流となっている。このためクライアント端末側にはあまり高性能が要求されないため[[iPad]]や[[Android]]でも動く製品が多い。当然ながらクラウドの利用料は軒並み従量課金である。
== 主なカーネル ==
ジオメトリックモデリング界隈では「[[ライブラリ]]」のことを「カーネル」と呼ぶのが定番となっている。なぜかは知らん。
